Tags

Definition

A tag is nothing more than an label that classifies an object. In the case of the ServiceNav product, a tag can be applied to hosts or services.

Labels can be defined at partner or managed customer level.

Managed Customer Scenario

It is possible to create tags at the level of a managed client, in order that the tags align to the client's environment.

Tags are visible in the filtering of the main monitoring screen, as well as in the configuration of the dashboards, only at the level of the customer or its sites. They are not visible at the level of the partner on which the customer is reliant.

Example

Case 1: Premium contract

We can create a tag at the host level = "Premium Contract", which will have the function of ensuring special attention is given to these hosts.

Case 2: Accounting team

We can create a tag at the host level = "Accounting Team", which will reflect all the devices used by the company's accounting team.
