Apply this procedure to create a VMware account with rights to read monitoring information, either on the VMware Hypervisor vSphere Client or the vCenter.
Connecting to the vSphere Client
Position yourself at the root of the tree.
Click Menu > Administration > Single Sign-On > Users and Groups.
Navigate to UsersSelect the appropriate domain and click on ADD A USER.
Fill in the form fields.
Click on ADD.
Assigning read-only rights
Position yourself at the root of the tree.
Click Menu > Administration > Access Control > Global Permissions, then click +.
Enter the user's domain, the previously created user itself, the role Read onlyand click on Spreading to children.
Then click on OK.
