BOX mode

Lin-Process-Nb-Byname

Connects to a Unix/Linux device, collects the list of active processes and counts the number of instances of a process list. This control notifies when a threshold is exceeded on the number of instances of a process in the list. To get the most complete list the user must be root. Configuration: user name and password, process list, alert threshold, critical threshold.

Lin-Process-Swap

Collects swap space usage by all instances of a Linux process list. The control goes on alert if swap space usage exceeds a threshold for at least one of the processes. Configuration: the amount of swap space above which the report goes to ALERT, the amount of swap space above which the report goes to CRITICAL.

LIN-Proc-RAM-Usage

Collects memory usage by all instances of a list of Linux processes. The control goes on alert if memory usage exceeds a threshold for at least one of the processes. Configuration: the percentage of memory usage above which the status changes to ALERT, the percentage of memory usage above which the status changes to CRITICAL.

Lin-Syslog

Finds a list of character strings or regular expressions in syslog files on a Linux system. The syslog format is defined in RFC 5424. Configuration: name of the syslog log file(s) to be analyzed, directory of the log files, list of strings or regular expressions to be searched in the message body, search period, device, priority, minimum number of occurrences of the string to be found, probe return code, user and password to log in to the device.

Lin-Time-Status

Collects the time of the equipment, the time of a reference NTP server, and calculates the difference between the two hours. Changes status if the difference exceeds the configured thresholds. Configuration: SSH user ID and password, domain name of the reference NTP server, alert threshold, critical threshold.

Lin-Logfiles

Finds a list of strings or regular expressions in log files on a Linux system. Configuration: name of the file(s) to be scanned, directory of the log files, list of strings or regular expressions to search, period of time the files are taken into account, number of occurrences of the string to be found, location on the device of the logfiles executable, user and password to connect to the device.

Determines a maximum number of files: counts the number of files on a remote Linux server via SSH and compares it to the specified alert and critical thresholds. Configuration: the name and password of the user who can establish the SSH session, the files searched for using special characters *, and the alert/critical thresholds.

Lin-Ping-Svc-OnHost

Connects with the SSH protocol on the Linux system associated with the control and collects the response time on a port of the Linux equipment specified in the parameter. Goes into a critical state if the port is unreachable, or above the thresholds. Configuration: account, password, SSH login port, IP address or DNS name of the equipment, port to be queried, alert and critical thresholds, execution time.

LIN-Proc-CPU-Usage

Collects the processor usage by all instances of a Linux process list. The control goes on alert if the overall CPU usage exceeds a threshold for any of the processes. Configuration: the percentage of CPU usage above which the status changes to ALERT, the percentage of CPU usage above which the status changes to CRITICAL.

Connects to Unix/Linux equipment and determines the percentage of processes in "defunct" state in relation to the total number of active processes. This control notifies when a threshold is exceeded. Connects to a Unix/Linux device, collects the list of active processes and counts the number of instances checking a regular expression as grep function argument. This check notifies when a threshold is exceeded. To get the most complete list the user must be root. Configuration: user name and password, regular expression, alert threshold, critical threshold.

Measures the CPU usage of a Linux server as a function of the load (load) and not as a percentage and notifies when a threshold is exceeded. Note: to have the CPU usage as a percentage choose the "CPU" service model. Configuration: SNMP community

Checks the existence and size of a given directory and compares it to the defined thresholds. Configuration: the name and password of the user who can establish the SSH session, the analyzed directory, the alert and critical thresholds expressed in MB.

Finds a list of character strings or regular expressions in a log file. The first X lines corresponding to one of the conditions alert, critical or ok defines the status.
